This year, GLP-1 (Glucagon-like peptide-1) emerged as a major theme, capturing the attention of the nutrition and food sectors. Following the success of semaglutide in 2024, which sparked a new wave of weight loss trends, the industry's interest in GLP-1 has skyrocketed. While pharmaceutical GLP-1 treatments like semaglutide show effective results for weight management and blood sugar regulation, they come with side effects such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. This has created a pressing need for complementary GLP-1 nutrition products to mitigate these side effects.
